Today is a post for a pulled pork recipe. I did get some ideas for this recipe from others, but all of the ingredients and the amount of the ingredients is what I chose (including some ingredients I didn’t see anywhere). Pulled pork is relatively easy to make, it just takes a while. This recipe is so tender and juicy, it just melts in your mouth.
Tools you’ll need:
Pam Cooking Spray
Cutting Board or Plate
Pork Shoulder (about 5 pounds-I have a smaller-sized crock pot)
Worcestershire Sauce ( I use the Lea & Perrins brand)
Red Cayenne Pepper
Greek Seasoning (optional)
Plug-in the crock pot and set it on high. Spray the pot with the cooking spray and place the pork shoulder in it (you can cut off the fat now, but it is easier if you wait until the meat is finished cooking). Fill the pot with water until it covers the pork completely, it usually takes about 4-6 cups of water. Next, just open the Worcestershire sauce and pour it in a circle around the meat about four to five times. Open the mustard and just squirt the bottle in a circle three times on top of the meat. Add three shakes of salt, three shakes of paprika, five shakes of pepper, two or three shakes of chili powder, two shakes of the red cayenne pepper, three shakes of garlic salt, three shakes of garlic powder, four shakes of onion powder, and two to three shakes of Greek seasoning. Put the lid on the pot and cook on high for at least 6 hours. I normally try to leave it in there for at least 7 hours so that it’ll be extra tender. Once the cooking time is done, place the pork shoulder on a cutting board or a plate, cut the fat off with a fork, and proceed to pull apart the pork in a shredded fashion with the fork. Serve it with your favorite Bar-B-Que sauce and it’s ready to eat! Personally, I love to serve my pulled pork with Bone Suckin’ Sauce®. It is a very awesome sauce.
