Things I am too Much of a Coward to Say

Standard

If you know me, then you know that I am very soft-spoken, modest, and can be goofy. I don’t shout out my beliefs anymore, but I am tired of people shoving my beliefs under the bus. Listed below are some things that I’m too much of a coward to say to people.

I am too much of a coward to say:

  1. That I am strong and unmovable in my beliefs. I will only change my spiritual and moral beliefs if God changes- He doesn’t change. James 1:17
  2. That I firmly believe that marriage is between a man and a woman, and that God finds it detestable when people commit homosexual acts and bestiality. Romans 1:21-29
  3. That I firmly believe that abortion is wrong, even in cases of rape and incest. It is never the child’s or children’s fault and they shouldn’t be murdered because of another person’s sin. Revelation 21:8
  4. That I firmly believe sexual immorality is wrong (I am guilty of it and am ashamed of what I did in the past, but God has wiped that sin away). 1 Corinthians 6:18-20
  5. That I believe vengeance isn’t ours to dole out. Romans 12:17-19
  6. That anyone can be forgiven of their sins if they come to the Lord. Whether they be murderers (Apostle Paul), homosexuals, idolators, sexually immoral (me), etc. Matthew 26:28; Acts 3:19; 1 John 1:8-9
  7. That there is one Lord, one faith, and one baptism. Ephesians 4:4-6
  8. That you can only get to the Father through His Son, Jesus the Christ. John 14:6
  9. That above all we are to love, and show that love to all.  Matthew 5:44; Mark 12:29-31; Romans 13:8-10
  10. That I believe in the Holy Trinity- God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19 (For more information on the Trinity go to: https://www.christiancourier.com/articles/1488-the-biblical-doctrine-of-the-godhead and https://www.christiancourier.com/articles/236-is-christianity-polytheistic )
  11. That baptism (full body immersion under water) is essential for salvation. Mark 16:16; Acts 2:28; Romans 6:3-5; Colossians 2:12 ( https://www.christiancourier.com/articles/928-baptism-essentials-and-nonessentials )
  12. That we are not born sinful. 1 John 3:4 ( http://www.apologeticspress.org/apcontent.aspx?category=105&article=2697 )
  13. That women can’t have a leadership role in the church. That doesn’t mean women are dumb or don’t have the ability, but that it is a commandment from God. Look at this article for more reference https://www.christiancourier.com/articles/169-womans-role-in-the-church
  14. We are to treat those that have depression (like myself) with compassion, love, and tell them or remind them of the peace that is in Christ. Even though depression in some cases is caused by guilt, it isn’t always the cause. Some people truly have a chemical imbalance, sometimes caused by medications. Other people have had rough childhoods or awful things happen out of their control. Whatever the case, God can help if you go to Him.Philippians 4:6-7
  15. That it is essential to not only be forgiven, but to also forgive others. Matthew 6:14-15; Mark 11: 25 ( https://www.christiancourier.com/articles/887-understanding-forgiveness )
  16. That re-marriage for reasons other than your spouse dieing or cheating on you is adultery. Matthew 5:31-32
  17. That taking God’s name in vain (emptiness) offends me greatly. (OMG, oh my God, sweet baby Jesus, etc.) Exodus 20:7
  18. That I don’t believe in holding grudges. Ephesians 4:31-32; James 1:19-20
  19. That I don’t like bad language. Ephesians 4:29; Ephesians 5:4

There are even more that I would like to type out at another date, but I need to go do my Mommy duties. I know that many of my friends may be upset with me, may come against me, and may even end friendships over what I have said. But standing up for my God and what He says is important to me. I will still love you and be there for you if you ever need anything.

Many people have asked me why I believe in God. I believe in Him because He first loved me. That even though I have committed many sins, that He sent His Son to die for even me. He loves me, and He loves YOU, that much. “For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.” Romans 5:6-10

The steps to salvation

1. Hear – Romans 10:17 2. Believe – John 8:24
3. Repent – Luke 13:1-5 4. Confess -Romans 10:10
5. Be Baptized – Acts 2:38 6. Live Faithfully -Revelation 2:10

I hope this has helped at least one person out there. God Bless.
